Shanna Jackson has served as president of Nashville State Community College since 2018. Nashville State Community College provides comprehensive educational programs and degrees including associate degree and technical certificate studies, university parallel transfer programs to four-year institutions, continuing education, adult education, four early college high school programs, dual enrollment courses, and community service programs. Nashville State Community College serves a broad geographic area comprising Davidson, Cheatham, Dickson, Houston, Humphreys, Montgomery, and Stewart counties.

Prior to her current role, Ms. Jackson served as associate vice president of Williamson Campus, Columbia State Community College from 2016 to 2018 and dean of extended services from 2010 to 2016.

She is a member of the board of directors of the Nashville Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. She is also a board member of the Memorial Foundation, St. Thomas Ascension, Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, and United Way of Middle Tennessee.

She earned her BS in business administration and MBA from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. She holds a doctor of education, administration, and supervision degree from Tennessee State University.
